1. Who we are

Onzely is a UK-based 11+ exam preparation service. We provide adaptive practice questions, mock exams, and AI-powered explanations to help children aged 8–11 prepare for the 11+ entrance examinations.

2. What data we collect

Parent or guardian

  • Email address
  • Payment information — processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your card details on our servers.

Child

  • First name
  • School year group

Usage data

  • Questions answered, scores, and practice time
  • Mock exam results and subject breakdowns

Technical data

  • IP address and browser type (collected automatically by our hosting provider, Vercel)

3. How we use your data

  • To provide the 11+ practice service
  • To personalise question difficulty to your child's level using our adaptive engine
  • To generate AI-powered explanations for incorrect answers — when your child answers a question incorrectly, the question content is sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate a child-friendly explanation. No personally identifiable information is included in these requests.
  • To process subscription payments via Stripe
  • To send service emails such as account confirmation and payment receipts

4. Children's data

  • Onzely is designed for use by parents and guardians on behalf of children aged 8–11.
  • We do not knowingly collect data directly from children.
  • Parents and guardians are responsible for their child's use of the platform.
  • Child data (name, year group, and practice data) is linked to the parent account and is only accessible by that parent or guardian.
  • Children do not have their own login credentials.

  • Account data is retained while your account is active.
  • Practice data is retained for 2 years after the date of last activity.
  • You may request deletion of your data at any time by emailing hello@onzely.co.uk.
  • Data from deleted accounts is removed within 30 days of the deletion request.

7. Your rights (UK GDPR)

Under UK GDPR, you have the following rights:

  • The right to access your data
  • The right to correct inaccurate data
  • The right to delete your data
  • The right to restrict processing of your data
  • The right to data portability

8. Cookies

  • We use essential cookies for authentication — specifically, Supabase session cookies that keep you logged in.
  • We use no tracking or advertising cookies of any kind.
  • You cannot opt out of essential cookies as they are required for the service to function.

9. Changes to this policy

We will notify users by email of any material changes to this Privacy Policy. Continued use of Onzely after notification constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
